Good things come to those who wait - and the wait for Neos and Flow 9 is finally over! It is our pleasure to present Neos and Flow with the Event Sourced Content Repository. A new foundational architecture to manage content better than ever before.

We last talked about our plans for Neos 9.0 back in May shortly after the conference and we expected at that point to provide the 9.0 release in 2024. As it is December this update will give you our latest state and plans going towards the release.

On 25 October 2024, the first Neos Barcamp took place in Dresden - a day that brought the Neos community together and provided space for numerous exciting presentations and intensive discussions.

The Neos Barcamp 2024 offers a platform for exchange, networking, and knowledge transfer around the Neos content management system. Be part of the first Neos related Barcamp!

We are trying to publish a monthly about what has happened in our community in the last month.
Depending on activities, it might be a longer or shorter blogpost - and sometimes we might have to summarize two or three months.

The Neos CMS Conference Days 2024 recently concluded, and it was an event to remember! 

Neos has undergone several major changes during the past 10 years, and the most fundamental one is just on the horizon: Neos 9 - which is all about a new foundation for what lies at the core of the system: Content. How content is stored is a crucial part of our business as a CMS. The old Content Repository (CR) served us well since Neos 1.0, but it has its limits. Therefore, we invested a lot of energy and thought into the new CR which will help us with challenges in the projects of the next 10+ years. Since most of the changes are happening “under the hood”, an editor might not even notice that anything changed at all, whereas integrators and developers might need to adjust to a few changes in the public APIs and get accustomed to the new methods and paradigms.

Our next sprint takes place in Magdeburg, Germany from 29th April - 2nd May.
