Q2 in Numbers

In Q2, we spent about 22.000€ to keep everything running and moving forward. Our income during that time was around 16.000€, with 14.200€ of that coming from our amazing long-term sponsors – thank you!

For a more detailed breakdown, feel free to check the Exply Dashboard here: https://exply.sandstorm.de/exply/shared-dashboard/72029873-c04d-49a0-8e5d-87c070f06b52

We also had a small shift in our sponsor lineup:
We lost one Bronze Sponsor, but we’re happy to welcome a new Silver Sponsor, 180Hearbeats+JvM

Outlook for 2025:
We’re estimating around 33.000€ in income from our long-term sponsors for the rest of the year.
Our fixed costs – things like tools we use (e.g. Zammad) and accounting services including our 2024 year-end-report – will be about 4200€

We’re also allocating 7.500€ for the excellent work of Philip from WORTRAT, who has been a tremendous support to the Marketing Guild. His contributions are essential for pushing Neos forward, and we’re already seeing the first positive effects of his work. We’re excited to continue working with him throughout the rest of 2025.
Based on this projection, we anticipate a remaining budget of around €12,000 for Neos development.
This calculation includes a conservative 20% buffer to account for any unexpected changes or uncertainties.

  • The Neos foundation is planning a budget with the focus on improving the editor experience in Neos.
    • Sebastian Helzle takes technical lead on this topic with Sandstorm providing project management capacities
    • Besides funding we are also looking for user feedback and implementation & conceptual help
  • In addition Sebastian Helzle is looking for sponsorship of 2 Media.Ui features:
    • Batch operations on multiple assets
    • Drag & drop functionality for assets

To keep up our current momentum and continue improving Neos 9, we need your support! We truly appreciate any financial contributions – whether as a long-time sponsor or a one-time donor.

The Neos Con team is currently finalising the event accounting. In the next Neos monthly we’ll be able to share more details on whether the Neos Conference generated a surplus that can benefit the Neos project.
