Neos DevCamp Nuremberg 2016

More than 40 developers and Neos team members had a great time in Nuremberg last week. At the first Neos DevCamp Neos developers from beginner level to expert got hands on sessions and in-depth discussions of the topics that were most relevant to them.

The first Neos DevCamp was a great success! We are extremely proud that everyone who had signed up for the event joined and we counted more than 40 developers altogether.

In a barcamp setting we collected session requests and proposals and were able to find speakers for every topic and even cover exotic requests like LDAP integration. The great location - Nuremburg castle - allowed us to have three parallel sessions in three slots throughout the day.

We covered topics from "starting from scratch: a Neos project without default NodeTypes" to "Getting started with Eel and Fusion (formerly TypoScript 2.0" to in-depth discussions about "the Neos UI rewrite with React" or "Event Sourcing". To be able to answer even more questions, we even added an ad-hoc panel discussion where the Neos team members Tyll Weiss, Bastian Waidelich, Christian Müller and Johannes Steu answered the audience's questions.

We finished the day with free beer and some further conversation with our friends from the TYPO3 community who just started to arrive for their T3DD16.
