What's NEOS in July 2025

More rain → more contributions?

Hey Neos Community!

July 2025 was again a great month of contributions. We had so many package releases and other contributions to the Neos core. Thanks to everyone who helped making the Neos ecosystem even better. In addition we plan a big improvement to the Neos UX in Neos 9.1 with a new funding request.

If you have ideas, feedback, or projects to share, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out anytime, especially via Slack in #guild-marketing.

Also many thanks for the very positive feedback we got for the last two Neos monthlies. This is what keeps us going ❤️

Neos Community

Neos Foundation

  • Funding request: “Improve Editing UX for Neos 9.1”
    • We want to focus on improving the inline editing experience by introducing drag & drop, reducing mouse travel, highlighting the current edit mode and adding a new link editor into the Neos core.
    • You can still join in by contributing UX or implementation skills or more sponsoring so we can add even more improvements to this project.
    • After the funding is approved we plan to make regular updates and show the concepts and get feedback. So if you have lots of editor feedback and want to tell us about it and shape those new features, please get in touch.
    • Write a comment in the topic or ping Tobias Gruber or Sebastian Helzle in Slack if you want to participate in this project.
  • We made various improvements to the package marketplace, but are still working on resolving some issues with importing the data from packagist and Github. If you spot some unexpected behaviour please open an issue with as much details as you have and/or ping us in Slack #guild-website. Ideas for improvement are of course also very welcome.
  • We are working on our LinkedIn page and prepare various new features to reach more people on this platform. Stay tuned.

Have a great August and keep on contributing and spreading the Neos message!
