"Oh content tree, oh content tree,
how lovely are your branches!"

Hey Neos Community!

In November 2025 the Neos team grew, we had a winner of the Neos community prize and many new packages releases, a visual Neos health check, including a brand new templating language for Neos!

If you have ideas, feedback, or projects to share, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out anytime, especially via Slack in #guild-marketing

Neos Community

We've grown

Sophia Grimm from queo joined the Neos core team! She joined many Neos events, contributed, helped in the Neos Slack and already felt like part of the family. We are very happy to welcome our new team member and look forward have her help in shaping & improving the project. We will also hear more about how she joined in an upcoming post. Did you know you can find all active team members on our team page?

The winner of the community survey prize

Our community is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why, earlier this year, we launched a community survey that ran until the end of October. We wanted to understand what you love most about the Neos community, where you see room for improvement, and what your personal experiences with Neos and its ecosystem have been so far.
Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us. We’re currently in the process of analysing all responses and will soon share the insights and our key takeaways. Stay tuned for our upcoming blog post!

As a little thank-you for participating, every respondent had the chance to win a small prize. And now the draw has spoken! Congratulations to Claudia from babbadeggl!

Claudia is a communication designer from Neu-Ulm and started using Neos just four months ago — a true Neos newcomer. What sparked her journey was a specific client request: they needed an easy-to-use CMS for their website, one that was simple to maintain, and their previous system just couldn’t deliver. That’s when Claudia discovered Neos — thanks to a mix of Google searches and a little help from ChatGPT. Insights like hers help us understand how we can make getting started with Neos even easier, reduce hurdles, and create an even more welcoming experience for everyone. Thank you to everyone who took part in the survey — and once again, congrats, Claudia!

Special mention

The "Component Engine" was introduced by members of the Neos core team as early alpha community package family. It is designed as a type-safe, highly performant alternative to Fusion that treats presentational components as first-level, or even the only, citizens. So you might want to keep your ears open for future news if your project might need fully testable components and maximum performance. You can also join #component-engine in Slack to discuss the topic. One day this might become part of the Neos core, but if you don't need these features, don't worry, the Fusion templating language will stay with us for a long time.

Thank you for reading our monthly and have a great December and keep on contributing and spreading the Neos message!
